Job Posting:
Kontoor Brands is currently seeking a Corporate / Senior Counsel, Technology & Privacy to provide legal advice and support to the digital/e-commerce, information security, marketing, and technology aspects of our business. This role will serve as the legal partner to multiple business teams and will collaborate with internal stakeholders to enable them to understand and assess risks and make informed business decisions. The Corporate / Senior Counsel, Technology & Privacy will be responsible for managing Kontoor Brands’ Privacy Program and all associated legal work, including privacy policies, consents, notices, assessments, and compliance in applicable jurisdictions. In this role you will serve as the subject matter expert in privacy and data protection and the legal point of contact for technology contracts.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
  • JD (Juris Doctor Degree)
  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar/jurisdiction
  • 4+ years legal experience, with an emphasis on privacy, data protection, and information security
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to evaluate issues from both legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach balancing both business and legal implications. Corporate / Senior Counsel, Technology & Privacy

Preferred experience:

    • Experience with cloud computing and software-based products
    • Experience with technology-focused commercial contracts (e.g., SAAS and License Agreements)
    • Experience working in a global consumer goods business
    • Prior work with a global public company
