Summary
Apple’s Instructional Products group produces user-centered education for all of Apple’s hardware, software, and services. Our goal is to create experiences that welcome, inform, and inspire our users to get the most out of their Apple products. We are looking for a Device Technician / Screen Capture Artist to support the Design Team across a variety of UI animation projects including Tips. This person will set up and maintain devices, compose and create UI-accurate screen captures of user flows and interactions, and collaborate closely with Designers and Animators to produce engaging screen content to help educate our users about our products and features.

Description
– Set up shared devices, download and install builds, keep track of UI changes across builds, devices, and platforms – Troubleshoot device and software issues. Identify risks and dependencies. – Work with Designers and Animators to compose and load approved content. Prepare devices for screen capture. – Screen capture UI elements and user flows. Re-capture based on feedback and UI changes. – Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control of screen captures to ensure UI is captured accurately – Maintain capture tools and devices – Coordinate delivery & hand-offs of appropriate assets to design team – Work closely with the Design Team to support their design process and facilitate the successful completion of projects
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Design or Engineering, and/or relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- This role could be a good fit if you are:
- A highly technical production designer interested in UI/UX and animation
- A junior animator interested in UI animation and working with an experienced team of motion graphics designers
- An engineer who is passionate about UI and motion design
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,832 and $205,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
